The hotel is located in a convenient spot, near bars, shops, and restaurants, perfect for a few days away. The rooms were not as clean as expected, with issues like a broken door handle and wires hanging from the ceiling. However, the bed was comfortable. The hotel service was friendly, but at times slow and seemed to do the bare minimum. The location is good for exploring the local area, though a bit quiet in sleepy Dunkeld. The dining experience was a letdown, with a limited and poor-quality menu. Facilities were basic, lacking notable amenities.

The hotel is set in a beautiful location, perfect for exploring the surroundings and enjoying lovely walks. The rooms are a mixed bag with a fantastic shower but the inconvenience of not having running water throughout our stay. Dining had its highlights despite some cleanliness issues. Overall, a lovely location with room for improvement in services and facilities.

Rooms

The shower in the room was terrific, especially after a day on the golf course, but the lack of running water was a major inconvenience.
Service

I stayed in an annexed room in the hotel's car park, which was small and dated for the high cost. It was sufficient but felt like a poor value with its small size. The staff, though friendly, could improve on their customer focus, especially when dealing with booking emails.

Rooms
5.0
The room in the car park annex was very small and felt dated for the price. It was sufficient but not ideal for the money.
Service
7.0
The staff, one Australian and one New Zealander, were welcoming and helpful overall, but there were moments on the margins of being rude. They could lighten up and focus more on customer service.
Location
8.0
The hotel is centrally located with easy access to places like Pitlochry and Aberfeldy. It offers a friendly atmosphere, excellent food, and beautiful walks nearby where you can spot deer. However, there were some minor downsides like occasional rain showers.
Dining
6.0
Dining options outwith the hotel were fantastic, especially the steak and ale pie. However, the experience within the hotel was rather disappointing, especially given the town's reputation as a gourmand destination.

I had a lovely stay at the hotel. The rooms were cozy with all the amenities I needed, but the price felt a bit high for the room at the back of the hotel. The service was exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff. The location was ideal, close to shops and perfect for bringing along our beloved dog. Dining was satisfying, but the service was a bit slow. Overall, a great find with so much charm and potential for improvement.
